The Black Authors Festival At A Glance: Now entering its third year, the Black Authors Festival has already built an extraordinary reputation as the preeminent event for Black Authors in the country. It has been deemed as a party with a purpose. Not only does the Festival honor celebrity and high profile authors, but a percentage of ticket sales is donated to a non-profit. The President also has an anti-literacy campaign as well as a national ban book banning campaign that she has spearheaded.
